Adaptive MAC for IEEE 802.11ah based IIoT

The main focus of this work is to propose a novel MAC algorithm notably restricted access window (RAW) for IEEE 802.11ah based industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) network. Owing to the heterogeneous nature of IIoT network traffic, the channel contention activity is varied across the groups in a RAW even though the number of stations in each group are similar. The duration of a RAW slot is dynamically adjusted according to the IIoT traffic type and intensity.
